Hi, I am Kamila Janiak
I’ve spent more than half my life in the water. It’s my second home - and through Kamaqua I share its gifts of freedom, connection and calm with you.
Since I caught the swimming bug at 7, I’ve trained and competed at national level for Poland, been a lifeguard, a scuba diver and an oceanographer.
About 15 years ago, I started passing my skills on to others as a swimming coach.
Then I discovered the wonders of aquatic bodywork, like Watsu. It transformed my relationship with the water and my way of supporting others …
Because water’s unique ability to soften and support make things possible that aren’t possible on land.
So now, water isn’t just where I work, it’s how I work.
Whether you want to overcome your aquaphobia, learn to swim better or find a deeper way of relaxing and healing, water is our partner (not just a tool).
BLENDING SCIENCE AND SENSITIVITY
I have a background in oceanography and special needs education, along with years of training and experience in swimming coaching and aquatic bodywork. So all my offerings are grounded in evidence and technical excellence – and delivered with care and creativity.
PERSONALISED
You won’t get fixed formulas. I draw on my lifetime of experience to adapt to your changing needs, moods and energy so you feel held in every session.
HOLISTIC
I don’t treat conditions – I support people. I’ll meet you with an intuitive presence that takes in the whole of you - physical, emotional and sensory.
JOYFUL
You may be learning to swim or feel safe in water, managing pain or seeking peace. Whatever your goal, I hold space playfully, so it feels light, not clinical.
“What sets me apart is my unshakeable belief in the healing power of water”

CREATING ACCESSIBLE TRANSFORMATION FOR ALL
When I’m not with my own clients, you’ll find me at some of the UK’s most respected swimming institutions.
I teach at the Elite Swimming Academy (ESA) and offer musical aquatic therapy workshops to disabled children and adults for the Liquid Listening charity.
Or I might be travelling the world to seek out the latest (or most ancient) bodywork techniques to bring back to Cambridge.
This year I started another exiting journey, I am training to become counsellor. I hope to weave it into my practice…
Why? Because this sharpens my ability to create a transformative experience for you, whatever your age or whatever challenges you bring to our sessions.
